geez, can't even start with a base understanding:

so, what governor rod said in the interview is anecdotal. he said something but didn't provide the proof/evidence.

per confirmation bias:
"Confirmation bias, as the term is typically used in the psychological literature, connotes the
seeking or interpreting of evidence in ways that are partial to existing beliefs, expectations,
or a hypothesis in hand."

claiming not to have confirmation bias does not make it magically disappear.
