Trudeau should have found a semi legal way to let her slip through holes and used the opportunity to win favors with China. Canada is too dependent on the US and it is in Canada's strategic interest to diversify its relationships. Canada should never take sides against the US and should always be as supportive as is reasonable. But nor should Canada act as a US satellite. Nobody said that leadership is easy. So if Justin Trudeau is finding it tough, he should make room for others.
