Suggest some caution in basing potential G* service to the military on the current I* deal with U.S. Gov.; Keep in mind some fundamental differences between the two systems -- I* has true worldwide coverage, uses crosslinks & can use only single gateway for worldwide subscriber service ; G* does not provide total worldwide coverage, does not have crosslinks and always requires a common satellite in view of a subscriber and gateway that serves that subscriber; The full implications of these key differences along with other military unique considerations can make the cost effective use of G* more problematic for many potential users in the military community; ( However, this does NOT alter the fact (IMHO) that the G* design approach is much more cost effective for commercial markets, and in that most critical arena will likely far outperform I* where it really counts --- making serious money !!! ) Stealthy
