There is someone who is posting on the S3 Yahoo thread that claims he has inside knowledge from another party that AMD is buying S3 for $9 share in February. He resides in Santa Clara, CA. I wonder if this is for real or if he is just trying to pump up the stock price.

thanks....just FYI, my concept says, that (although this upsets and miffs many people) NO one "ind. group" is any more, or less, important than any other, at any time...that is, to me, "gold" is "just another group".... as are "techs"....as you know, we purposely do NOT let most fundamentals/news/scenarios, etc., into our decision-making/timing brain, so, whenver a particular depressed group shapes up properly, we try to exploit it, long, with stops, diversified, and no emotion, even- and here's where most people miss it (but not you, you are way above avg.) - even when/if it's assumed financials or "story" is negative, whatever that means....as you know, we ignore 95 % of the things others try (mostly unsucccessfully) to employ, and also, never "paint scenarios", something which 95 % of others do, do....

i.e., if, to be funny, say, the depressed "elephant" stocks shape up as pot. "PSYCLE sm" longs, if was suitable, we would buy with a stop when seems right technically--- even if
a) we had lost previously trading that same group before (no engrams)
b) the "news" was terrible, on "elephant" issues, and/or
c) our uncle had been injured by an elephant

I know that seems weird, and the message seemingly (but not) facetious, but the lesson is very valuable....the PSY-cholgical hindrances from incorrect assumptions of things that have not been historically true in fact in the past, are often the very elements which keep many nice people from, say, buying the depressed issues in a specific ind. group, near their lows, right ? anyway, enjoy, and note, my recent PCTL hit 7., ISSI. 10 1/2 (sold some), SGI 15 1/2 (selling some), QSII. 6 7/8, UTR over 18+, XYLN 18+, CYMI. 17+, and all my "steels" up nicely as well, of rec's. made at recent lows.... view their 1- and 2-year chart patterns to see why I did them....
wish all periods were as good as lately for us....take care,
have a great weekend....
