Free market means only one thing, the government not interfering with market pricing. That is not to say you cannot invest in government-controlled market that only goes up. However, there is enormous systemic
risk for investment in such a market. Sure you can make money trading government controlled pseudo free securities. I just don’t want to be caught holding them when the house of cards finally crashes. Did you notice keeping this shit together requires ever bigger bailouts? 2008 only needed a package the size of twice us economy in guarantees, now it’s even bigger, so they start printing as soon as spoo is down 10-20%.

When it’s over, Fed announcements of permanent coupon passes will be met with increased selling of the treasuries and other securities. The United States has already defaulted on its treasuries because it prints a lot of money. The treasuries pricing does not currently reflect this reality. In a free market it eventually will.p
