Well, shooting people is extreme, but your larger point, I understand, which is that the 5-10% of the population that causes most of the problems are used as an excuse to punish the other 90-95%. In the USA, we have a Constitution that is supposed to protect us from tyrannical leaders and unelected so-called experts like Fauci. But Americans have forgotten that we are a free people. Turns out Freedom is hard to keep. This pandemic is just the latest excuse to impose tyranny. The so-called evangelists for science turn out to be the people most ignorant of how science works. Science first and foremost begins with good data and the analysis of that data to come to an understanding of probabilities to test hypotheses. Right now, the data does not support broad and hamfisted lockdowns. But the Democrats are stuck on that narrative, so ideology is overcoming science and common sense.
