<I have read that she admired her father!!>

Mephisto, all girls start out admiring their fathers, and craving their fathers' love--they need plenty of it in order to have happy relationships with men when they are adults. Unfortunately, if a particular father is either not very stable and healthy, or doesn't give his daughter the love she needs to develop well, she still has the need to have relationships with men, but may choose badly. I have heard that Jackie's father was very charming. So was Jack Kennedy. But subconsciously women choose men like their fathers for their grown-up love relationships.

The reason dysfunction seems to stretch out over many generations in families is that these self-defeating patterns of attraction are repeated over and over and over again. That is why I admire Jackie's parenting skills so much--it looks like she was able to rear two children who are healthier than she and her husband were.
