It is a racist comment because it presupposes that the cause of Black crime is primarily due to the color of their skin. I realize you were only stating a fact. But like most facts, they are subject to interpretation. A middle to upper middle income Black community would not have a high crime rate. I have been to many of these communities and it is quite safe. The problem of Black crime is synonymous with poverty. Failure to distinguish between income levels makes your all inclusive sweeping comment about Black crime racist.
