The idea that government can ban BTC on own or in small (accounting for say 1/3 of global GDP) grouping is faulty

Sure, national exchanges can be shut down, as Team China did

But ...

- BTC mining still goes on in China, and

- BTC can be brought to HK for trading, unlike gold

Selective banning of BTC here and there makes BTC supply and demand status worse, and drives up the price of BTC in the lockdown domain

As to lack of correlation of BTC with other assets, that is a plus, not a minus

Re volatility, it is a friend
