No question, Canada needs full coverage of high speed in rural areas. That infrastructure cost against low density subscribers would be a fiscal disaster for internet providers, it needs a hand from government. So far all such initiatives I am aware of have fallen short , much promise little delivery. Hope that changes.

I was pleased to hear that Mr. Brian Tobin (Minister of Industry at that time) was pushing for broadband everywhere in Canada especially First Nations communities,,,,wait for it,,, In 2001. 19 YEARS AGO en.wikipedia.org Elon Musk put his mind and money behind Starlink and has accomplished broad band internet for rural areas in Canada and US in .. 5 YEARS.
