Well, it's not possible to get a "brand new model" since the FJ Cruiser was discontinued in 2014.

Here.s a 2014 Model for sale with around 7k more miles than mine for $29,657

Dont feel it's worth the risk. Besides, its difficult to find a 2014 with LESS mileage than what I have. Add to that, I bought it new and have maintained it and know what I own.

The only other vehicle I might lust after would be a new 4wd Toyota Tacoma which would probably run around $45-47k out the door with the accessories I'd like, but I cant justify the cost.

While i don't use the 4wd all that oten, I do have some properties in the desert and in the Sequoia National Forest. I wouldn't travel to wilderness property {SNF] in anything but a 4wd. The SNF property is ~ 10 -12 miles to nearest phone (or place where you can get cell phone reception) and access is by forest service road.. You don't want to get stuck out there. And, have to admit, the older I get the less appeal the property has to me due to its being so remote. I came face to face with a rattle snake once when I was out there and it scared me so bad I fell off the rocks and into the creek. I don't fancy having some emergency situation in a location where I have no cell reception. (only solution is a SATELLITE phone)

I bought my wife a Toyota Camry a few years back and its been a nice little ride. Like me, she probably only puts ~6k miles per year (or less) on it

If I was going to get a sports car -- there is one I've always liked. THIS--->
(but dont see it ever happening)

Enuf about cars... I say --->get that Mini Cooper now and just use when you go out (or you and the wife)
ITS NEVER TOO SOON ;)
