My target on $ is 6.70 to Frf- as political uncertainities in Europe increase with Maastricht issues and EURO we may see flight to quality I also think 5% on Matif as absolute top - it may not break FRF and DEM will weaken in the second half of this year- 1.92 agaist Mark and 1.52 against pond sterling. Oil will as rightly say be very volatile until this Mr Big Father of all BS finally gets some more pounding- I think he may some hopes that Clinton associated sex problems may give him some roon to manipulate but now with Clinton popularity again at highs he will not call the bluff- I know his tactics he not only requires to be shown a big stick but needs sometime to be banged on his head- I feel tyrants like him one day leave there historic nations to play historic contructive roles but it is so far not to be. I will only trade Oil futures based on Saddam belligerent attitude if new evidence emerge over weekend against Clinton you may see his sabre rattling correspondingly higher a weaker Clinton for me is long Oil futures a strong Clinton will keep the downward pressure on Oil prices intact. I will play Oil on political directions only and impose events on futures charts but in wake of slow down in ASEA and stagnance in Japan don't expect too much of demand pull price pressures. Canadian $ I have been not playing it for long time but I shall loook at it only to see if longish poisitions can be initiated- I need to see fundamentals political and economic I will try to do it over the weekend.
