What was up today: UFAB (5.5%), MIND (4%)

Not much, but at least something.

I bought more MDCO, which held up well today. At 18, a buy/write for Feb 20 calls (which you could sell at 1/2), would net you 2.5/18 or about 14% return if MDCO closes right at 20 in 3 weeks. If it closes at less than 20 (but higher than 18), you keep the 1/2 and keep the stock appreciation.

land drillers have been reporting a slow down in dayrates. You seen anything to this effect.

LT, is this your personal info or what? I'm not aware of anything other than the land is out of favor versus off-shore. I'm waiting for a potential contributor to this thread to get back on the italicised question. Net, I don't know and I can't answer at this point.

Paul Z - do you know?

Luc-
After my last post which I thought was positive for the land drillers I went and called an e&p company. Asked them how difficult it was to get rigs for their increased drilling activity and they said that 6 mo. ago things were tight, but now they don't have a problem with rig availability. Guess that means not so good news for land drillers, as this company (SFY) does most of its work in east Texas.
