tat 1299 p233mmx is w/o monitor...15" monitor is 349 and all set up is free so you willl not have a problem
cpq has a p200mmx loaded for 1199, then add that monitor
there is a p166 tower loaded including montior and printer and speakers and 64 bit graphics..it's a 4505 and cirut city has it...
best buy has that system for 1000.
at those rices get it up.
cpq laptop p150 for 1699.
some of these prices are a factory rebate.
all units have free setup

nothing wrong with laptops. I personally own a Presario 1075 labtop.
It's a Pentium 150 MMX. It comes with all the goodies built in it (disk drive, modem, CD-rom, speaker, etc...). If you're going to get a desktop, you might think about a DVD drive. Those will probably be standard in a couple of years.

The laptop is out of date...if you have to have one see if you can get a deal on a new Armada with the MediaGX chip. Other than that, I agree with hpeace, get a desktop. The Compaq 4540 K6-233 for $999 w/o monitor seems like a good deal...you can get a 15" monitor for around $200.
