Well here's a story from the past

Back in 1983 I got a call from a fellow that told me he had "invented" a method of converting musical scores into PC code format in such a way that the PC could play back the music. He was very excited about it. I asked him what he had done to get backing for the product. He said he had shown it to various people and in fact Microsoft had been so interested that they had sent someone to NY to meet with the guy. I asked him if he had asked the MSFT representative to sign a non-disclosure agreement. He said what was that.

MSft is not a company that pays you for your ideas. If you think you are going to become a millionaire because MSFT is going to recognize your great product and pay you a mint for it, you are smoking it man and you smoking it big time.

Those are my thoughts.

Gates is one of the most ruthless individuals since J. P. Morgan and his ilk held sway in the 19th century. There is no law in the software industry and Bill Gates understands that. Get into bed with him and you might as well trade places with Dr. Faustus.

Everyone of the investors in MSFT has made that type of bargain.
