Following are the guestimate of orders received from each of the four main DUV stepper/scanner manufacturers. Thanks to Mr. Aloha for providing the past data.

In 1997, 460 lasers are shipped.
Nikon............ 39% 179 lasers
Canon............ 25% 115
ASM Lithography.. 24% 110
SVGI............. 6% 28

From the previous data (see below), the Quarter_4 97 shipment looks like this from extrapolation.

Q_4 97, Toatal = 133

Nikon------------ 34% 45
Canon------------ 25% 33
ASMLF------------ 24% 32
SVGI------------- 11% 15

Obviously, SVGI's market share is on the rise (6% to 11%), Nikon is on the drop (39% to 33%). ASM (24%) and Canon (25%) remained the same.

My personal guess, SVGI's rise might have something to do with Intel, AMD, or the U.S. DRAM fabs.

Here's were CYMER's business has been in the past...

For the first 9 months of 1997,
total shipped = 460 - 133 = 327
Nikon............ 41% 134
ASM Lithography.. 25% 82
Cannon........... 24% 78
SVGI............. 4% 13
---------------------

For 1996, total shipped was 145 lasers.
Nikon............ 31%
Canon............ 30%
ASM Lithography.. 19%
SVGI............. 10%
