Mike, I was rather "disappointed" with LOR's price movement, in reaction to the news.

This thread has such great information that I unloaded 2/3 of my LORAL holdings, in the mid to high 23s, in anticipation of the layoff news. The news did come and it could easily be interpreted as "disastrous". I would suggest that most companies today, faced with a 9% staff reduction and $400M revenue loss, would see their stock price cut in half, a la SEG, WDC, ANAD etc. I ended up re-entering part of my position at 22, instead of the high teens that I was hoping for.

Just an observation. It appears that LOR investors are a lot more savvy than the WDC or IOM types. If the news last week did not shake them out, there are probably very few weak-knee investors here. The LEAP owners are likely to be royally rewarded and I am seriously thinking about joining that crowd.
