Notice that the psychiatrist is an anti masker. He has people yell at him in elevators and stores.
But, that’s not the point.

Interesting article. He’s right, one can sense a whiff of insanity with regard to CoViD. People walking in the street or in an empty park with masks on - are a good everyday example. There is a lot of fear, much of it not rational. Beach walkers tend to be more sane, as I’ve discovered. They keep their distance, but no masks. To me, it’s a series of estimates - how far the person will be from me, from which direction the wind is blowing, how strong the wind is... even, does the person look ill? All this keeps running on some semi automatic algorithms on some back burner, barely distracting me from whatever I’ve been thinking about previously.

The fact that there is no excess mortality suggests that yes, very many people who die were already on their way out. Overall, human population lucked out with this virus - it’s easy on the young and generally working age people. Locking up the entire Western world was an act of hubristic madness. We were going to prove that we CAN do it - stop cold a highly infectious respiratory virus.

The really sick part were the politically minded who jumped on this opportunity.

Here’s a good one. A big breakthrough is taking place.
Colby Cosh: The biggest news in biology had nothing to do with the COVID-19 vaccine. At some point in the future vaccines themselves will seem like clumsy, barbaric answers to new disease. We'll just make pills that can knock out key proteins in a virus. You know, cures
