Dale, the thing with Keane though is they don't have any remediation
products themselves. They need to license them. Since they are not a tool remediation company, the 450 assessments or so they have done,
will move into remediation with either Keane recommending tools or
using other companies tools themselves to do the work.

You sound as if you think this is a bad thing. I disagree. I'd much rather put my money behind a team of flexible consultants who can aid any company with their Y2K problem, than go with a vendor of a product that only works against specific platforms.

It's a classic case of buying the technology user, not the technology maker.

Kathy: Do you know which are the tools Keane recommends? Knowing this may give an indication of which y2k stocks not to short.
