Hello Art,
Your, "Or don't you count the 60% of IBM's business overseas"

Is that in constant dollars, real dollars, or some other scale that IBM has devised to make it appear that they are not loosing their core business?

I continue to believe that you are in denial of reality and living with blinders on.
Jules

Art:
Here are IBM's actual TOTAL revenues for each of the last few quarters. After you have read them, then tell me that they are not "flat" Do some simple homework before commenting on someone's travel activities.
Nov. 96 16.5 B
June 96 18.1 B
Sept. 96 18.0 B
Dec 96 23.1 B (Christmas- seasonal rise)
Mar 97 17.3 B
June 97 18.8 B
Sept 97 18.6 B
Dec 97 23.3 B (Christmas - seasonal rise)

Show me any new consequential products that IBM has brought to market and made some serious money on during the last few years?

I'm not only "in-country", but I spend most of it out in the field looking at what's going on in the PC/semi world.
Best, Earlie
