Pete,

I know that on Usenet, the Internet newsgroups, there are a couple of groups for screenwriters. At Usenet, there are tons upon tons of groups for various types of writers. However, Usenet can be the cyber-equivalent of the Wild West and the badest part of town. An extra dollop of caution is strongly advised when strolling through the newsgroups at Usenet.

I guess we could start a thread here at SI for aspiring writers. I'd certainly post there. Who knows, such a thread for writers might even prove to be productive in a revenue-producing sort of way.

BTW, I've been having a really great time over at Boink and thank you for starting that thread. It's been a real hoot.

Holly

Pete and All,

Here's the URL to the Punkah thread here at SI. It started out as a storytelling thread but now seems to include jokes as well. But hey, this is SI--anything goes! Right?

Happy reading!

Originally Alexa, (who is a real poet-and has awards to prove it) started the Poetry thread, but it had-don't all threads around here run into this?- problems with people deciding they didn't agree with her premise-which was that it was sort of a haven to write or share thoughts about poetry, a supportive place.
Perhaps it's time for us to revive the thread. I see Carol has been there with some nice quotes about poetry lately. Maybe we can expand it to talk about literature and poetry.
Waht say you, Lexa Girl?
