Lots of this narrative is that the west is concerned that China now appears to be in control of its own destiny.. sink or swim... wrt India... They should focus less on a few hectares and focus more on feeding their own people and providing an environment where they can take care of themselves.. as Mr. Xi... I do have concerns that China is following Russian lunacy of building a path to Indian Ocean .. which they do not even need.. That must be back of mind .. OTOH .. they are now pals with Bangladesh soooooo.. :) They just need a conduit to Bangladeshi border :) So that may be a boost for ally Bangladesh.. In the end I think India is too preoccupied with crap.. a legacy of Imperial Britain .. I will not be surprised to see Bangladesh become a modern nation long before Pakistan does.. It is also interesting to note that China does not seem to care if you are Muslim/Christian/whatever.. as long as you are for the national interest.. It is national interest.. NOT ETHNIC interest that counts.. There is a moral for many in the west in that.. but I leave it to the audience to smarten up :) Chinese nationalism is really pan ethnicity ... Goes back to Zheng He
