RR, FWIW Barron's bi-weekly "Tout the Techs" column confirms the test bottleneck issue in its "coverage" of the Monty Conf.

Referring to a Tues. presentation by Kipp Beddard:
He indicated that Micron's production is constrained not by low demand, but by a shortage of DRAM-testing equipment.

Is it me, or does that sentence fail to make sense if you parse (too much Mike McCurry on the brain <g>) its terms - since when has "low demand" for a product ever been a "production constraint" in any manufacturing enviroment?

If Eric Savitz wants to continue to put a big smiley face on the tech sector, the least he could do, considering he has two weeks between columns, is to write a little better.

Good trading,

Tom
