H&Q DID downgrade PAIR on 1/27 from a strong buy to a buy, and also lowered his numbers. Zacks is incorrect (you can call Joe Noel or anyone at H&Q to confirm this.) As to the first, it is good this is kept in perspective, and Jeremy Story is obviously a good source. Notice he didn't deny US West's using Paradyne equipment (which I have heard from analystS). So if Paradyne is committed to being compliant with any UAWG spec, it would be consistent with Story's statement. In any case, the point is well taken. Until announcements are formal, they are speculation (the mainstay of the ADSL industry to date) Steve
