The PR news wire item on the annual stats on sgd doesn't break out the 4Q stats and it's hard to make 4Q to 4Q and 3Q to 4Q comparisons without digging deeper. Also if you add in the extraordinary items for both years the eps don't seem to be that big deal (.60-.38=.22 in 97 vs. -.09+.36=.27 in 96 so that eps actully decreased or do I have my figures wrong)(.38 and .36 were obtained from the notes in biz.yahoo.com. Please correct me if in error. (maybe can't do that cause they are pre-tax numbers??) In fact how do you beat those earnings in the future without some more non repeatable items. If the price soars on the sixty cents then we're being set up for a fall unless sgd can come up with some magic. Also the trial coming up might be putting a damper on the stock. Company says there is no merit to it but who knows which way the wind will blow and of course the litigation costs money. Charles
