Atten: ALYD investors.

A while back, I had posted a article from the Aug. Charlotte Business Journal that had quoted Mr. Bob Gruder as saying that ALYD was profitable in Q2 of 1997. After some controversy and discussion on this thread, it became apparent that Mr. Gruder had misstated ALYD's financial condition, or that he was misquoted once again. (if you read the article, you will see that it is highly unlikely that it was a misquote )

Now, we see this particular journal get a scoop on ALYD's FYE 1997 potential revenue figures.

I HAVE A HUGE PROBLEM WITH THIS. (if there isn't an official release on Mon. )

First of all, ALYD is a publicly traded company and has an inherit responsibility to announce any material information before it is released to a local paper. The Charlotte Business Journal is not a national paper and if the Q4 results are not released first thing Mon. Feb. 2nd., prior to the market opening, investors who are not aware of this article will be at a disadvantage.

If the $11 million figure mentioned in the article was given to the reporter from Mr. Gruder and we do not see an official announcement prior to the open on Mon., then I feel it is a huge problem.

I don't think it is likely the reporter just threw out that $11 million figure. Obviously he got it from somewhere.

again, I think it is now very likely that ALYD will announce Q4 results on Mon. morning, because if they do not, then it may be a problem.

Tech, and if your analysis is correct, how do you think the stock price will be affected?

You wrote, "ALYD est. that they should have between $6 to $8 million in revenues in
Q4 and they would of come in at the lower end of that estimate. ( ~$6.5
million)

ALYD's Q4 will show a profit of approx. $2.5 million (depending if
expenses for the Q were held at the $4 million figure)

If the numbers in the article are true, then ALYD will not break-even in
1997. and show a net loss of approx. ($-4 million) FYE 1997"
