Honey_Bee, In the State of Texas you can walk in and buy a firearm and walk out with one in an hour or so. You have to fill out a form and show picture ID (IE: Drivers License) that is then electronically verified within a few minutes. Bought a new pump shotgun (Remington 870 Tactical) and 00 Buck Ammo at Cabela's in 2011. Walked in and walked out with it. In 2019 I walked into Academy Sports and walked out with a 43x Glock pistol (9mm) and conceal carry holster. You just do not live in the right State. Last weapons purchased in CA were in the early nineties, it only took 15 days to get approval and pickup the guns. With regards to fighting for our freedom or accepting tyranny, we will just have to agree to disagree. Regards, LG

Please forgive me if I have misunderstood your post. Are you saying there is no set of circumstances that would justify taking a stand against the tyrannical practices of a powerful central government through any and all means necessary regardless of the consequences OR do you just feel current events do not rise to that level? You mention 1/2 the population might be killed. By whom or what? I have an extremely close relative in the military at the pentagon with about as high a rank as they give out. I will only suggest that it is highly uncertain what role they might play but it is far from certain they would slaughter tens of thousands of their fellow citizens regardless of who gives the order. If that is your concern I would relax a little. Just saying.
