Science has shown that vaccines work .. really simple... Polio anyone ? Sometimes unintended consequences are good news healthline.com I get the flu shot every year.. last time I missed one I dunno 12-15 years ago I got a mild flu .. well less mild than others.. but the flu was not problematic.. my weakened immune system let in a a nasty sinusitis leaving permanent sinus scarring.. So yeah I get the flu shot routinely .. Colds for me are typically a half day affair.. flu if seen not worth a mention ... wrt COVID vaccine.. I understand the reticence of many HC workers.. (I started out eons ago in microbiology/immunology at McGill in Montreal) With a fast tracked vaccine, no comebacks on producers for side effects.. new tech (WHICH IS PROMISING) ... I am quite happy to be back of the line.. I am healthy at almost 65.. eat well, work physically hard in retirement .. I social distance and mask.. I know these things are NOT guarantees.. but insurance ONLY... litigation practices if you will... But I do not want to be the angel of death for anyone.. and wrt to the comorbidity nonsense .. if you have a condition that is under control .. (my mom has mild COPD at 82) and you are statistically projector to have threaten 5-8 years.. but Covid contraction weakens you and you die of an underlying condition .. COVID..IS THE CATALYST and COVID KILLED YOU ... If people get stupider .. ie.. in a world where the Kardashians matter .. that is entirely possible.. Then your Zero number is possible..
