His instinct has been correct on just about everything he's done as president.

If I understand him, since he's a property owner, developer, manager, brander and salesman, Trump's view of the GOP is something like this:

He has taken over a ramshackle conglomerate, (the GOP), which has a lot of gorgeous buildings with marvelous tenants and a lot, far too many, rent seeking, thieving managers living high on the hog from their embezzlements and letting the properties fall into disrepair.

He wants to lay his insanely popular MAGA brand on the GOP but he can't do that while the dishonest managers who the tenants - the customers, the potential new owners - hate and despise, are still present eating up material value and good will.

At heart, Trump is a REdeveloper.

And the GOP is extremely valuable real estate - location, LOCATION, LOCATION.

In the vernacular of his native community:

"So, the only real question is: Is he gonna shitcan these stinking, rotten, no good, thieving sons of bitches while he's in office or out of office?"

they are NOT separating into an independent movement

they are NOT YET separating into an independent movement . If they do, it could be the best possible outcome. On the other hand, if the marxists do take over the D party, how many people will they lose?

Agree 100%... also, on the 3rd party movement. It is NOT an option.

....I disagree.......but it has to be done carefully and in many small steps.......................maybe 1/3 of Rs are actual conservatives.............maybe 1/3 acceptable IF they have no choice and 1/3 pure RINO.............you run the 1/3 of R conservatives and 1/3 OK R both on the R party and the new MAGA party line but instruct the new party members to vote for them on the MAGA party ticket................You R primary a minimum of 8 RINO House members and 2 RINO Senate members every two years with the hopes of replacing all the RINOs with conservatives.....you evaluate all your primary losses and determine whether it is better to kill the RINO by running your new MAGA party candidate in the general election under the new party line in which case the D will win.........you then come back next cycle with a strong new MAGA party candidate..........you guarantee to kill one Senate RINO and 4 House RINOs every election cycle and will put the fear of MAGA in them all.............all the while, you watch as more and more will vote the MAGA party line and as the Rs realize most of their votes are coming from MAGA party people, they will switch.........some sort of this kind of approach if carefully orchestrated could work in my opinion..........The R party led by RINO apparatchiks will never change.

....behold how it is done.....back in the day.
