$2.2 billion development plan for oilsand area. newswire.ca Indications from a senior oil analyst, Calgary, Alberta, Canada has a total estimate of over $12 billion dollars scheduled for oilsand development, sofar, in and around the Fort McMurray area by the majors. I believe this estimate to be accurate. Approx.5-6 majors in the area. The one problem in forming an alliance/relationship with any kind of major is that they march to their own tune. They have a rhythm to their success rate and they tend not to deviate from it. In addition, solv-ex was a *"complex knot"* which was not easy to untie. I also believe, the February 15/1998, target deadline for closure to be accurate as well.
