Lockdowns eventually lead to ....... high unemployment, bankruptcies, mental health issues, increase in drug overdoses, increased suicides, late detection of cancer, delayed surgeries (not just elective, some critical procedures), reduction in routine health care, ....... I don't know anyone who has contracted covid, let alone anyone who died from the disease. One extended family member is a basket case because she believes all the fear mongering (did you hear about the guy who was only 34 and died from covid, ...); unfortunately she was never a good math student. Two family acquaintances have been diagnosed with cancer, both over the age of 60. One was high risk and regular screening was delayed several months. As for the other case, the cancer confirmation was learned very recently and I don't know the history or details. However, at least one of the cases is likely terminal.
