same here....i'm an hour east and i avoid it like the plague. it's a cesspool. ONLY trips in the last 5 years is to go to MSK.

I know the area fairly well. Used to go skiing to Hunter a lot. It gets crowded over the weekend, but if you can take a day off midweek, it’s great. I used to call it a world class mountain “in miniature”. Varied terrain, from beginners to pretty impressive double diamonds. 1600 feet vertical may not be so great, but many famous resorts have, effectively, only a couple of thousand. Have spent many wonderful Wednesdays there... :)
