Cem Onur Did Trump lose because of his mishandling of COVID, his personality, his failure on health care, or just a general lack of achievements? Trump, contrary to common right wing media hogwash, hasn’t done much for this country. His mishandling of the Covid19 is simply an extension of his mishandling of every single thing that fell under his jurisdiction. If you take Fox News and Twitter out - meaning take the propaganda machines out of the equation and let the work itself speak; there’s nothing there. Absolutely nothing. All Trump cult voted for Trump because it’s Trump. Not because he did anything for them. Armed service-men and service-women: demeaned and made fun of; Veterans: demeaned and made fun of; Racists and Xenophobes: applauded, encouraged and front-lined; armed and ready; King worshippers: found their kings and started their chants; Evangelicals: sold their souls and started Trump worshipping; The man divided this country in half; destroyed as many of the Republic’s institutions as he can - though not by himself. For a certain group that was waiting for somebody like Trump to come along like the people wait the second coming of Christ is to be credited for that - Trump was on the train for the votes and the applause. Covid19 is a sign of what happens when you act like a fool in 21st century. This is no longer 17th century. Even the people at the turn of 20th century were smarter than the populace that refuses to listen to science and logic and instead go along with rhetoric and foaming around the mouth speeches. I wonder how many more signs these people are waiting. Frogs to fall from the sky? Trump lost because more than half this country still believes in the ideals that made this the greatest nation on earth.
