There is another way to look at this too, and that's rate of return.

If I get a good move on anything I'm holding SEP or Non SEP. I'll dump it...or a chunk...and go elsewhere. Without access to the internet it is not possible to keep up with events and trade effectively.

By moving around I was able to get triple digits returns out of all 5 portfolios I have, in a 20% up market.

So just to answer the real at question hand......I'd rather pay taxes on 100%+ ....then have an average 20% annual buy & hold return.

Which I guess...is the power of the internet....more so than my investing ability.
