Rich,
So a person in recovery is still a "bad person" because they have an addiction that is not active?
LOL, when Hunter Biden lost control over his vehicle and jumped the median, was his addiction "active" or not?

And had he killed or seriously injured another person as a result, would you still consider him to be a "good person" who just couldn't help himself?

Bottom line is that YOU are responsible for your own actions. If you are suffering from an addiction, then it is YOUR responsibility to overcome it.

Besides, it's not like an addiction is an airborne virus. It happens as a result of poor life decisions. It's 100% within your power to be a good person or a bad person.
