stsimon,

So at the current rate of infections in the United States, and with deaths, on a delayed basis, running at a fairly consistent 1.5%, the month of January might see 100,000 new deaths. Now if we had a terrorist attack that killed 100,000 people we'd be nuking somebody just to demonstrate how pissed off we were.

Since the virus kills one at a time, alone, with no live video of the individual deaths, the public response is muted, and the government response inadequate. What a strange fucking country we live in.

I think it is time for Biden to do an address to the country and call the Republicans to task. Not only for their COVID response, the fact that they are playing political football with the stimulus response and economic recovery and for the fact that they probably covered up the hacking that occurred. And where is Trump. Complaining that McConnell talked about President elect Biden.
