Not really the health department. Its the quarantining department. I'm in Aotearoa-Zimbabwe previously known as New Zealand.

We successfully eliminated wuflu so can now go about our lives quite normally. It's very nice when seeing the shambles elsewhere.

The kleptocratic government bunglers made a real hash of it but were lucky to avoid pandemic. No more overseas travel though. But even that's good if worried about CO2, which I'm not.

Having a low density population helped. Mostly we drive in cars, not cheek by jowl public transport, though bungling kleptocrats and ignorant supporters try to force that on us.

For the first months the dopey health "experts" said to not wear breathing protection such as the masks they later made mandatory.

Kiwis are generally cooperative and well meaning so managed to get it right enough to stop the spread and kill it off.
