Barbara, Scherring took a hit with CORR because drug companies ar edesperate to get anyhting into the larket. If they ( any drug Co ) n get to approve a pill , whether Vasomax or Viagra or any other pill that is only slightly better , or no beter, than placebo, with tolerable side effects ( patient gets to read the warnings in the package label, gg) the Co will strike a gold mine. Not bad for a little company like Zona with little or no R&D. And, if I agree with your assessment, by the time someone else can market Zona's pills, the pills will be worthless! Queation: If Bill-drop-my-pants-Clinton gets booted out of office with the 50 years in power Democratic Congress, do you think the political/drug manufacturing corrupt system will improve or do you think the Republicans are going to pick up from where the Democrats left? ( I am afraid the lattter, if tobacco is any clue ). Nothing was worse for the drug buisiness than Billary's health care proposal--IMO. Just the threat of it sent Big Pharma into hiding. In turn, it squeezed out a lot of the junky biotechs(Save it Bill). 3 years ago you couldn't find a research job to save your life, now people are beating down doors to steal people away. Republicans, although more stingy with grant money, like R&D and big business. The FDA is where the pressure lies. On one side you got the Redux freaks and on the other side you got 10 years to get a drug to market. Both of these sides are in many ways non-political issues. If you have any ideas on how to make drug companies charge less for there patented proprietary pills that they get to market exclusive of competition for new therapies, I'd love to hear them. The only way I can think of is competition, even if it's with those little 45 year old gold mines....
