What you say is true, the only caveat I would put on it is the area factor. If it is the NWT people expect alot, a new play such as Alberta people get more excited with less, a kimberlite discovery in greenland would probably be more so. So there is a bit of an area factor to things plus it brings in alot of novice investors new companies etc. Imagine the excitement that would be generated if someone digging a basement in Toronto or Vancouver hit a diamondiferous kimberlite. Imagine if it was LA or New York.
Somewhere, and for the life of me I cannt remember where, a few years ago I saw a map which showed where all the diamonds had been found in north america. The finds go back to the early settlers and explorers.
It was quite fascinating because some pretty good stones had turned up in the most unlikely places.
So next time anyone digs a ditch or basement keep your eyes open you just never know what you may turn up:)

Good Afternoon., my little grasshopper have you been busy constructing those charts on the 4 pipes of Mountain Province.?
If you have., then we should venture up to the Diamond Clubhouse.,
and you will be tutored on interpreting Diamond Press Releases
which shall help my little grasshopper when the hectic days approach.? Now the fun can really begin. During this instruction
period my little one., you will see some interesting early observations.,
though subtle will tweek the interest of the speculators as well. Now
dont all the little rah rahs group for MPV get emotional., nor the Winspear group appear start foaming at the mouth. This little excercise is geared not to promote one stock over the other but simply
to help you or anyone as an investor understand why the market
reacts in the manner to a press release. So one must pay close attention to detail,. my little grasshopper., and we will pick these
press releases apart like a polar bear stalking out a pregnant seal.
If you havent constructed the charts,. never mind. I have much of
the pertinant data. This little excercise will help dispel some of the obvious reporting differences between both companies., the Deeeeeeberish model., and the Austaaaaalian model. So come to my
little clubhouse., and let us explore the fine little intracies that the investor reads., and the flipper doesnt see!!!!!!!!!!!
Ah hah Ahah <LOL> Lilian consider this the beginning of Part 6.
To speculate in these markets., we have to understand the rules and
how they are played: Come to the Diamond Clubhouse and we will
begin. A note., there will be lots of numbers and speculation., but hey
this is what makes the markets tick. First my dear give me an hour
or so to present the case Perry Mason style before the commotion
begins.
