There are other differences, too. With covered calls, you have a very large amount of capital tied up. With naked puts, you can earn interest on that capital.

The best book that I've seen on options is "Options as a Strategic Investment" by Lawrence G. McMillan. He explains a number of strategies with options, and what actions to take with your options when the stock moves up or down. A little expensive, but well worth it. $50 retail, $35 from Amazon.com:
