Vic, Your thoughtful response to VALUESPEC's latest post prompts me to cough up my two cents worth here.

I've been following this thread for the last year or so -- some months less than I've held a position in FTEL. In that time I've received lots of worthwhile info on the company and its products from posts here by you and others. I understand the motivation of the folks who make rational statements about their investing positions and their understanding of the forces that may influence the stock price.

What I really can't fathom is the motivation of people like VALUSPEC and others who take time to compose lengthy messages about a stock that they have no interest in investing in. I would assume that either they love to see their words in print, they have little else to do or they have some ulterior goal. If the former is the case, I would suggest that they could save some money by cancelling their ISP account and typing to themselves on their word processors. If it is for a lack of other entertainment, perhaps a good rental video or a trip to the mall to people watch might be good therapy. If on the other hand, there is some skullduggery that they have in mind, the SI thread would seem to be a pretty ineffectual way to achieve it. At the present level of FTEL price, things said on this thread seem to have little effect on price action. What the company is reported as doing in the market will move the stock, not supercillious comments by these guys. Their comments sure do stir up the folks though and in spite of myself, I read their stuff and wonder why.

In the mean time, here's an item I ran across this AM that points out that the some of the industry press doesn't yet know that there are ways to do the IP thing right.
