Yep, sounds like your doc is a Hefty Lefty.

IMHO, it’s inappropriate - if not downright stupid - for Docs to go off yapping about their politics, especially these days.

Btw, Fauci’s handling of the HIV is still seriously controversial. Back in those days, many people with AIDS used to die from “atypical pneumonia”, caused by pneumocystis. Many doctors noted that this disease responded well to an antibiotic called Bactrim - which was widely available, old and cheap. The story goes that Fauci fought it the best he could - in favor of some fancy newer medications. “No proof”. Eventually, he lost - Bactrim became the standard medication for treatment and prevention of that infection.

Many people blame him for many deaths which could have been avoided.

Kind of eerily reminiscent of his CoViD misadventure.
