Norma,
(This is my first post to you in your new identity, was there a coming-out party in the clubhouse?) Sorry to hear you are working so hard. I myself have just completed 2 weeks of Special High Intensity Training, you know, classrooom all day, then back to your desk at 5 to do a day's work...

Anyway, here's a fun little exercise:
I'm sure many of us use the Daily Stocks research page - dailystocks.com
If you search for the symbol "FBN", the result is a company called "Fruniture Brands", or something like taht. Of the many stock-specific links available, one is "Silicon Investor Forum". Try it.

Neat, eh?

Kevin

Norma and Tom: You realize, of course, that as CEO of FBN I have certain ... shall we say ... 'privileges' ... not readily available to the FBN members of lesser stature.

Like, for one, I get to read EVERYBODY's secret posts.

So, when Kevin told Jeff about the ... uh ... well, the ... hmmmm ..

Never mind.

Norma,

Re: My take on the private messages feature - I DON'T LIKE IT!

I have to agree with you on this one. Sure it is fun to go to the Year 2000: Impact thread and post private messages to yourself that contain company names, but there is a larger issue here. Whose time has been wasted, or as TED might say, whose productivity has been impacted?

I will dearly miss posts such as:

[OFF TOPIC]
<<Insert name here>> did you get my e-mail containing extremely important insider information that all investors should see but will only be available to a few insiders that think like me.

Won't you miss posts such as:

[OFF TOPIC]
Hey <<insert name here>> is your e-mail address listed in your profile correct. I have been trying to e-mail extremely important and timely insider information that I only want to make available to a few insiders in this thread but I keep getting invalid e-mail address responses, what gives?

How about this:

<<insert name here>> please refrain from answering this a**hole. Just click next when you see his/her post. While his/her questions are relevant, the answers could drive down the price of the stock. Remember, perception is reality.

And how about this:

<<insert name here>> , can you please take this discussion off line. Your boring the hell out of us. I'm an investor in technology stocks, I do not want to hear or know about the details of the technology.

Lastly, I will miss:

You are the biggest a**hole ever to grace the Internet. I will probably be thrown off SI for my following statements but hey, you only live once. Your analysis is so full of s**t that your mother wears ..

Regards

Tom
