I suspect history is cyclical, and there are no exceptions, as the forest must regularly burn

If so, then roll w/ the cycles, or be rolled

I do not believe any innovation / invention in governance precludes or otherwise circumvents the wheel of history from rolling

CCP, GOP, etc etc all just so much dusting on the wheel of history

Parties come and go, politics change flavor and eventually degenerate towards maximum entropy

Farmers, students, scholars, inventors, innovators tend to regenerate, renew, and refresh

A guess

Time, as usual, shall tell

As far as << Facial recognition, ... police, social credit scores, IPR theft, censorship, Presidents for Life >> ... same same everywhere and variations everywhere else, and cannot be determinants because they are, by variation, everywhere. Some of it actually do some good, adding energy and vibrancy to whatever system.

For example, if IPR theft is not everywhere then neither would be IPR lawyers.

Facial recognition? Soon to be everywhere, unavoidable.

Police? No comment necessary.

Etc etc etc

But, yes, we watch and see, now all alerted as to what to watch for.
