Hi Sameer,
You are asking very good questions and i am attempting to answer a few questions here. Hopefully others will plug in the leaks with gum and you will have a complete answer:

1) I am putting out some outstanding research done by Mike Laven on the subject of competition. Also i had not long ago heard someone say on the thread that Cyclopss has only 3 competitors who were in the same business of food processing. But they have some significant competition in the laundry sector. I believe that Cyclopss should do very well in the Laundry area as the folks at Holiday Inn were installing their system after one failed which was installed by our competitor. They would have done a lot of DD before that.

Apart from these companies in the Ozone sector i thing Irradiation companies and alcide corp offer some competition. Also Titan and Pure pulse technologies cannot be ignored.
Check this thread out :

2.No one can have an idea how many systems have been installed by the competitors. I know for a fact only Longmark is currently testing a food procrssing system with a major Meat manufacturer. Now as far as their installs go we will have to find that by calling each company individually. It would be great if you could do that for us.

3. I got these numbers from yahoo.
Number of shares Outstanding =14.9M
Float= 11.9M
But shares trading in the open is approximately 5 million. This figure i got from a broker and may not be reliable.

4.Ozon is company that is now coming out of the development stage and has a burn rate of 200,000+ per month. They are aggressively targeting the laundry industry as well as the food industry. Now topenetrate markets , develop alliances and hiring of talented people to penetrate markets does require phenominal resources in terms of operation costs. Also to penetrate large markets some sort of concession is offered if the process leads to bigger and more lucrative deals. I do anticipate losses for this year unless a lot of volume sales pick up. All the right people are aboard who can make this a reality. Also i am sure they have some unnanouced closings which they may announce at a time that will be good for the stockprice. the cost of equipment should never be a significant reflection on the losses as part of it is shared by electric utilities, the companies testing the product. They will probably also pursue more opportunities for innvative methods of financing that will make the balance sheet look good.

5.I would bet that the next announcement will come from the food sector as this is hot right now. But there is a good possibility that we may get an update from the aerospace industry or Laundry as there is lot work thats in progress in these areas also.

BTW: Samir glad to have you on the thread and welcome to OZON.

Regards,

Sri.

Competition? Not from irradiation!

Is food irradiation a real competitive threat to ozonation of food? I don't think so. The public at large is extremely negative towards the use of irradiation. Will it happen anyway?

Not if Food and Water can help it! Check out this example of their muscle flexing:

pmac.net

What about cost? Will food processors accept the cost? Highly unlikely with the much cheaper and enviromentally friendly use of ozone.

Irradiating food costs at least 6 times as much per pound of food than ozonation but probably more like 10 times as much would be more accurate.

But what if the high cost of irradiation and the negative perception of the public at large fails to keep companies from installing expensive irradiation equipment? What companies would be competitors?

Steris(STRL) would be the first and foremost on that list of potential companies desiring to win this market. But there are many others including a division of 3M. Obviously irradiation has many proponents. To me the biggest stumbling block to widespread use is the cost!

Regards, Jeff

Samir I hope that between Sri and myself your questions were answered.
Please refer to the research thread for a little more help.

Subject 17489

The big question on any investors mind is "Is this stock a good buy now?"

Strange close on Friday. The stock actually closed below the final bid price.

WEIRD!

Any one here have an opinion on if the stock will get much cheaper?

Regards, Jeff
