I take 10mg every night. My daughter takes 2 mg.
Back in the day, we'd use benadryl on the kids. Called it "benadrylizing" them. Worked like a charm.

Interesting. I think 2.5 would be much for me. Half as much works fine.

How much sleep do you need? How do you feel when you sleep less? If you feel just fine, maybe you’re one of those lucky people who don’t need as much sleep.

I know this sounds crazy but my Sister put me onto it and it works. I was skeptical too. Calcium before bed. Or a Cal/Magnesium pill. Whatever you like. It didn't seem to put me to sleep, but it definitely helps to stay asleep. You have to be careful if you take Vitamin D as you don't want too much blood calcium absorbed in the body, of course. I will take it occasionally as I feel the need, but don't take it every day. The other thing I found is don't eat sugar beyond mid afternoon.

I have noticed a strong connection between sugar and sleep.

I can fall asleep in 5-10 min practically whenever I want.

I attribute it to practicing deep meditation when I was in my late teens. It's not really a sound, but that's as close as I can come to describing it. It's a tone internal to your brain to listen for as the mind shifts from conscious to unconscious. Listen for it deeply, once identified, you can find it when you want to and quickly fall asleep.
