Add me to your reception book. I am very interested in this sector as I have a vested interest. It is my career, and I have 20+ years hands on experience. In addition to Mark Lampert's picks, there are many interesting topics and companies to discuss, as we are embroiled in the molecular biology revolution. I will separately send you my email address.

Dear Mr. Harmon,

Not sure how to begin, I am new to investing, period, but have been diligently researching various ideas, and lucked into the Silicon Investor from a link in a posting in Motley Fool. I am interested in health related investment, but, not having a Ph.D. in biotechnology, I am loath to jump in without more research. You seem to know what you are talking about.

What interests me about this Biotechnology Value Fund is the concept of using a mutual fund as a vehicle for venture capital. Ordinarily, venture capital investing is for the very few who can afford to bet against big odds, in the hope of winning big. Mutual funds, on the other hand, seem to be for the masses. So there seems to be some contradiction here, or at least deviation from the norm.

I have not checked yet, but I assume I could buy shares of the fund from someone.

What would really excite me would be directly investing in promising companies, cutting out the investment banks, which seem to get paid a tremendous amount that can't be easy overhead for a startup company. Is that what is going on here?

Not sure if I should use a sign off like in a letter, but it feels funny not to, so, very truly yours, CobaltBlue

FINALLY! BVFL.P. is where it belongs, and not in "Coffeshop." Bravo!
