I know people who work at food banks- there is a LOT more demand for food. Ditto at the blessing boxes we have around our town- where people can go to get food. And, of course, small businesses are going out of business- which is an economic toll, but also the people who used to work at those are now our of work. And I do know some people who've lost their jobs. Not hundreds- but more than 5.

I see it in the homeless problem in Oregon and I have friends who are struggling. My clan does what they can for them.

My entire philosophy of life, the only thing I found that makes sense in the universe after spending a long life time examining the meaning of life is our humanity, our kindness and empathy.

The Republicans pissed away about 20 trillion dollars on stupid wars and tax cuts for the rich.

And when have you ever heard a Republican bring that up!?

We could have ended the homeless problem in the entire nation with that money and provided free education and universal health care.

We could have been the pearl of the world.

But how many Republicans have you ever seen addressing poverty as a priority?; but money for war and tax cuts for the rich have no problem passing.

That is so vulgar.

I wish the media would point out the two trillion tax cut to the rich the Republicans just passed when they are whining about giving money to the needy.
