Bob:

Seems to me that the "Aussies" have been allies for generations dating back to WWI or before. I clearly remember them being shoulder to shoulder with us in Nam (my experience with "join the military and see the world") You probably saw them die in Korea as well.

Sucking nerve gas, anthrax, botulism or any of the dozens of other biologial/chemical agents Saddam is known to possess is not what I want to think about when I wake up every morning.

I believe the quote goes like this ... "I despise what you say, but I will defend with my life your right to say it".That does not simply apply to U.S. citizens in my mind having been a brother in arms.

Hell Bob, major newpapers in this country are suggesting that Bill may be using Iraq to distract the American people. Steve may be reading the New York Times or the Washington Post! Or, he may be reading "Did Slick Boink Monica" right here on SI!

By the way, I totally agree with you on defending your country. What Branch/Division di you serve in in Korea? I have a family member who was in the First Marine Division and participated in the fighting retreat from Chosun Reservoir.
