George....Mr. Pfeiffer did make exactly that statement (accretive by end of '98). This was in the Bruce Francis CNBC interview with Mr. Palmer ($15 mil this week and gone by end of year - IMO). Size and culture of Tandem lends itself more to merger (takeover). As for the expectations and the present status, your are correct this is a good barometer. I am too new with CPQ to know the details. I will research. Just curious: How long has E. Pfeiffer been in the USA. Loki
